iPhone app · Profit Pack: Food Cost

Do you know how much each item on your menu really makes?

Most venues know their selling prices but not their margin after the last purchase price change. Profit Pack: Food Cost calculates food cost, margin and suggested price of one item in under a minute, then shows which dishes carry the venue and which are dead weight.

Free: 5 recipes. Pro: unlimited recipes and CSV export. Prices are shown in the App Store.

What you get

Three things that change menu decisions

Menu calculation - illustration
01

Food cost and margin in a minute

Enter ingredient cost, selling price and weekly sales. The app calculates food cost, margin per portion, weekly margin and a suggested price for your food cost target. Gross and net are converted for you.

02

Menu engineering classes

Every item lands in one of four classes: Star, Plowhorse, Puzzle or Dog. Each comes with a short recommendation: protect it, improve cost, raise the price or take it off the menu.

Data stays on your phone

Recipes, photos, costs and prices are stored locally on your iPhone. No cloud, no account. A summary leaves the app only when you share it yourself.

No cloud, no account, no recipe uploads

The app has no cloud sync, no Android version and no POS integration. That is a deliberate choice: your recipes and margins are your venue's secret and they stay on your phone. Pro purchase status is handled by Apple and RevenueCat, crash reports never contain recipe content, and product analytics is off by default.
